Conspiracy
Enchantment
As this enchantment enters, choose a creature type.
Creatures you control are the chosen type. The same is true for creature spells you control and creature cards you own that aren't on the battlefield.

Conspiracy names a creature type and retroactively stamps every creature you control — and every creature you cast from that point on — with that type, which is a permanent, board-wide effect for four mana. Commanders like Wick, the Whorled Mind and Disa the Restless run it because collapsing your whole board into a single supported tribe unlocks triggers and synergies that would otherwise require careful deckbuilding contortions.
Best Commanders
Commanders with the highest synergy

Disa the Restless
Disa the Restless creates Lhurgoyf tokens, and Conspiracy lets you name Lhurgoyf to make every other creature you control feed into the same type-based synergies — widening the engine without adding more moving parts.

Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad
Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad cares about Assassins, and Conspiracy converts your entire board into Assassins, ensuring every creature that deals damage can trigger Altaïr's ability regardless of what it actually is.

Etrata, Deadly Fugitive
Etrata, Deadly Fugitive synergizes with Assassins hitting players, and Conspiracy turns every creature in the deck into an Assassin — dramatically expanding the density of hits that advance her game-ending condition.

Wick, the Whorled Mind
Wick, the Whorled Mind rewards you for casting creatures of a specific type, and Conspiracy unifies your whole board under one chosen type so every creature cast feeds Wick's accumulating value engine.

Endrek Sahr, Master Breeder
Endrek Sahr, Master Breeder produces Thrull tokens whenever you cast a creature, and Conspiracy lets you name Thrull so those tokens immediately qualify for any Thrull-tribal payoffs you've built around — tightening the loop without changing the token-generation math.
Format Analysis

| pioneer | not legal |

| vintage | legal |
| pauper | not legal |
| oathbreaker | legal |
Commander is where Conspiracy earns its keep: a four-mana enchantment that rewrites the type line of every creature you own is powerful enough to anchor entire tribal strategies and resilient enough to justify the slot in midrange builds. In Legacy and Vintage, the card is legal but almost never played — competitive non-rotating formats don't have room for a do-nothing-until-resolved enchantment at four mana when faster type-manipulation exists. Conspiracy is not legal in Pioneer, Standard, or Pauper, so those audiences can stop here. Oathbreaker follows Commander's rules closely enough that the same tribal-engine read applies, and any Oathbreaker commander with a tribal payoff has a live reason to consider it.

Pricing data for Conspiracy isn't currently available in our index, so check Scryfall or TCGPlayer for the live number before buying. Historically it has floated in the budget-to-mid range — picked up primarily for tribal Commander builds — but verify current stock since low-print-run enchantments can spike when a new commander makes them relevant.
