Cleanfall wipes every aura off every creature and every enchantment off every land for three mana at instant speed — that coverage is real. The catch is that it leaves enchantments that aren't attached to anything untouched, so it's narrower than it looks next to a true sweeper like Fractured Identity.
Format Analysis
Where it lives, where it can’t
| Format | Verdict |
|---|---|
| commander | legal |
| legacy | legal |
| modern | legal |
| pioneer | not legal |
| standard | not legal |
| vintage | legal |
| pauper | not legal |
| oathbreaker | legal |
Cleanfall is legal in Commander, Legacy, Modern, Vintage, and Oathbreaker, but it barely registers in any of them. In Commander, the format where auras and land enchantments do the most damage, it still loses the slot to unconditional enchantment sweepers — Bane of Progress, Primeval Light, or even Back to Nature hit more of the board for comparable or lower cost. Legacy and Vintage have better tools and faster clocks than Cleanfall can answer. The card's niche is real but razor-thin: it punishes Aura-heavy creature builds and land-lock strategies like Spreading Seas stacks in one shot, but those matchups are too narrow to justify a maindeck slot.

$0.26 bulk tier
At $0.26, Cleanfall is deep bulk — you're not buying it for value, you're buying it because it does a specific thing nothing else does for the same mana. It's not going up, and there's no reason it should.
