Cache Raiders turns every permanent you play into a free Regrowth trigger — the payoff is real and it compounds fast in any deck that wants its graveyard back. The cost is the upkeep bounce, which punishes you if you're not exploiting it the way Archaeomancer loops do.
Format Analysis

Commander is where Cache Raiders actually lives — five mana is acceptable in a 40-life format, and the decks that want recursive value engines (Azorius blink, Dimir reanimator, anything looping instants and sorceries) can weaponize the upkeep bounce rather than suffer it. In Legacy and Vintage it's unplayable; five mana for a 3/3 that requires board presence to do anything loses to every relevant threat at those speeds. Modern is theoretically legal but the same logic applies — the card is too slow and too conditional for any competitive shell. Cache Raiders is a Commander card through and through.

Price Context
Current price
$0.10 bulk tier
At $0.10, Cache Raiders is deep bulk — you're paying for cardboard, not demand. That price is stable because the card sees narrow play, but for the decks that want it, the cost of entry is effectively zero.
