Commander is where Arguel's Blood Fast // Temple of Aclazotz earns its keep — 40 life gives you room to pay two per draw repeatedly without collapsing, and the flip into Temple of Aclazotz provides a stabilizing land in the late game when you've burned low. In Legacy and Vintage, faster formats punish two-mana do-nothing enchantments hard, and dedicated draw spells or Phyrexian mana options outclass it on efficiency. Modern and Pioneer have similar problems — the card is too slow against aggressive opposition and too fragile against enchantment hate to see real play. Stick to Commander, where the life buffer is large and the long-game value compounds.
