Another Round card art
Another Round untaps all creatures and artifacts you control and gives them an extra combat phase — stapled onto a single sorcery. It earns its slot in any deck that wants to attack twice or reset tap-cost engines, and Preston, the Vanisher turns each untapped Illusion token into a second trigger machine, making Another Round a genuine game-ender rather than a cute trick.

Preston, the Vanisher

Preston, the Vanisher

46.5% of decks · synergy 0.43

Preston, the Vanisher creates Illusion tokens whenever non-token creatures enter, so Another Round untaps the whole board for a second attack wave while resetting every tap-cost ability Preston has assembled — it's one of the most common closes in the deck.

04
Syr Vondam, Sunstar Exemplar

Syr Vondam, Sunstar Exemplar

22.7% of decks · synergy 0.21

Syr Vondam, Sunstar Exemplar cares about creatures with counters attacking repeatedly, and Another Round delivers the second attack trigger reliably while untapping anything that tapped to fuel abilities earlier in the turn.

Shiko, Paragon of the Way

Shiko, Paragon of the Way

21.4% of decks · synergy 0.21

Shiko, Paragon of the Way rewards disciplined attacks and accumulates value each combat, and Another Round provides a clean second combat step to double that payoff without needing any additional setup.

Another Round is legal across every major constructed format but exists almost exclusively in Commander, where the combination of a full untap step and an extra combat on a single card is uniquely devastating. In 60-card formats the sorcery speed and five-mana cost price it out of viable aggro or combo shells — extra combat spells there typically need to cost two or three mana to matter. Commander's longer games, larger boards, and tap-cost engines make Another Round's ceiling dramatically higher: one card can represent lethal damage, a full reset of mana rocks, or a second lap through an ETB chain. Oathbreaker can support it in the right planeswalker shell, but Commander is where it belongs.

$0.85 bulk tier

At $0.85, Another Round sits squarely in bulk territory despite being a functional game-winner in the right deck. Bulk rares with narrow applications tend to stay cheap, so there's no pressure to acquire it — pick it up whenever it crosses your path.
