Anarchist card art
Anarchist enters the battlefield and returns a sorcery from your graveyard to your hand — a clean two-for-one body stapled to recursion, at the cost of five mana and a creature slot. The rate is slow by most standards, but any deck that loops Twinflame or similar high-impact sorceries treats that five-mana ask as a feature, not a bug.

In Commander, Anarchist earns its slot in recursion-loop strategies that want to rebuy the same sorcery multiple times — five mana is acceptable when the payoff is a game-ending spell returning to hand. Pauper is where Anarchist sees its most competitive play, since the commons card pool makes reliable sorcery recursion genuinely scarce and a 2/2 body on top of it is real value. Legacy and Vintage have access to far more efficient recursion at half the mana, so Anarchist doesn't register there. It's not legal in Pioneer or Standard, which matters only in the sense that its audience is entirely in slower, graveyard-friendly formats.

Price Context

Current price

$0.06 bulk tier

At $0.06, Anarchist is deep bulk — you're paying for cardboard and shipping, not the card. That price is stable in the sense that bulk commons don't move; don't expect it to appreciate, but also don't hesitate to throw a copy in a cart.
