Kenrith, the Returned King's 3U ability draws a card for target opponent; if that opponent can't pay Smothering Tithe's trigger, Mondrak, Glory Dominus and Parallel Lives stack to quadruple the Treasure output, producing exactly the 3U needed to loop again. The combo sits in 5-color Kenrith goodstuff shells that already want Smothering Tithe on general principle — the two token doublers are the price of admission.
Recipe
How it works
01
Prerequisites
An opponent cannot pay for Smothering Tithe's trigger. Eventually the opponent will lose the game due to drawing from an empty library. You can repeat this loop with other opponents that also cannot pay for Smothering Tithe's trigger.
02
Steps
- Activate Kenrith's fourth ability by paying
, causing an opponent who cannot pay for Smothering Tithe's trigger to draw a card.
- Smothering Tithe triggers, causing you to create four Treasure tokens due to Mondrak and Parallel Lives.
- Activate the Treasures by tapping and sacrificing them, adding
.
- Repeat.
03
Result
Infinite draw triggers for any number of opponents; Infinite card draw for any number of opponents
Variations
Cheaper, tighter, alternate lines
Any single token-doubler still doubles Treasure output to two, which falls short of the 4-mana refund — both Mondrak and Parallel Lives are required as written. Anointed Procession replaces either doubler as a white alternative. The loop mills opponents out rather than killing them directly, so Thassa's Oracle or a Laboratory Maniac variant on the opponent's side turns the win condition against the pilot — know your table.
