Rootha, Mercurial Artist + Jeska's Will + Storm-Kiln Artist + Vedalken Orrery

4-card combo · UR

Verdict

Yes — this 4-card loop exiles the entire library and generates infinite red mana as long as an opponent is holding four or more cards.

Storm-Kiln Artist pays for Rootha's bounce activation by creating Treasure on each Jeska's Will cast; Rootha copies Jeska's Will, the copy adds at least four red, and that float covers recasting Rootha for the next iteration. Vedalken Orrery is the glue — it lets the whole chain run at instant speed so Rootha can be recast mid-priority while the copy resolves, which is the piece most likely to draw a counter or removal the moment it hits the table.

Recipe

How it works

01

Prerequisites

An opponent has four or more cards in hand. If you control a commander, you can choose both of Jeska's Will's modes if desired.

02

Steps

  1. Cast Jeska's Will by paying {2}{R}.
  2. Storm-Kiln Artist triggers, creating a Treasure token.
  3. Activate a Treasure by tapping and sacrificing it, adding {1}.
  4. Holding priority, activate Rootha by paying {2} and returning it from the battlefield to your hand, copying Jeska's Will.
  5. Storm-Kiln Artist triggers, creating a Treasure token.
  6. Resolve the Jeska's Will copy, adding at least {R}{R}{R}{R}.
  7. Activate a Treasure by tapping and sacrificing it, adding {U}.
  8. Cast Rootha by paying {1}{U}{R}.
  9. Repeat from step 4.

03

Result

Infinite LTB; Infinite ETB; Infinite storm count; Infinite red mana; Infinite magecraft triggers; Exile your library with the ability to play the exiled cards until end of turn

Variations

Cheaper, tighter, alternate lines

Swapping Vedalken Orrery for Leyline of Anticipation saves nothing — both cost four and do the same job here, so the choice is draw redundancy, not efficiency. If the opponent drops below four cards in hand mid-loop, the Jeska's Will copy no longer produces the required mana to recast Rootha, so building in a hand-refill target like Windfall or a commander that draws cards insulates the line from collapsing at the worst moment.
