Rootha, Mercurial Artist + Jeska's Will + Storm-Kiln Artist + Emergence Zone

4-card combo · UR

Verdict

Yes — this 4-card end-of-turn ambush exiles your library and produces infinite mana at instant speed, ending the game the turn it assembles.

Emergence Zone unlocks flash for the turn so the loop can run on any opponent's end step. Storm-Kiln Artist converts each Rootha activation — which copies Jeska's Will — into a Treasure, and the Jeska's Will copy adds at least 4 red that more than covers recasting Rootha at 1UR each iteration. The loop self-finances until the library is exiled, at which point all exiled cards are castable until end of turn.

Recipe

How it works

01

Prerequisites

An opponent has four or more cards in hand. If you control a commander, you can choose both of Jeska's Will's modes if desired.

02

Steps

  1. Activate Emergence Zone's second ability by paying {1}, tapping and sacrificing it, allowing you to cast spells as though they have flash this turn.
  2. Cast Jeska's Will by paying {2}{R}.
  3. Storm-Kiln Artist triggers, creating a Treasure token.
  4. Activate a Treasure by tapping and sacrificing it, adding {1}.
  5. Holding priority, activate Rootha by paying {2} and returning it from the battlefield to your hand, copying Jeska's Will.
  6. Storm-Kiln Artist triggers, creating a Treasure token.
  7. Resolve the Jeska's Will copy, adding at least {R}{R}{R}{R}.
  8. Activate a Treasure by tapping and sacrificing it, adding {U}.
  9. Cast Rootha by paying {1}{U}{R}.
  10. Repeat from step 5.

03

Result

Infinite LTB; Infinite ETB; Infinite storm count; Infinite red mana; Infinite magecraft triggers; Exile your library with the ability to play the exiled cards until end of turn

Variations

Cheaper, tighter, alternate lines

Birgi, God of Storytelling replaces Storm-Kiln Artist as the mana engine if magecraft triggers aren't the priority — it refunds a red on every spell cast rather than creating Treasures. The combo needs a payoff already in the exiled pile; without a draw outlet or win condition like Thassa's Oracle or Ral, Storm Conduit already in the deck, infinite storm count alone doesn't close.
