Smothering Tithe replacing itself is not realistic — the doubling effect from Exalted Sunborn is load-bearing and has no clean substitute in this line. If a piece is removed mid-loop, Kenrith's activated ability still works as a manual mill-out against a player with an empty library who must draw and can't; the combo simply stops being free. Kenrith shells already run Smothering Tithe and Goldspan Dragon independently, so assembling this is more about landing Exalted Sunborn than finding the other three pieces.
