Faerie Mastermind + Smothering Tithe + Goldspan Dragon

3-card combo · URW

Verdict

Yes — this 3-card loop generates infinite card draw and near-infinite Treasure tokens as long as all three opponents can't pay for Smothering Tithe.

Faerie Mastermind's activated ability costs 4 mana but forces every player to draw, which fires Smothering Tithe three times from three opponents — netting at least three Treasures per loop. Goldspan Dragon is the engine oil here: each Treasure tapped to pay an activated ability produces an extra mana, so two Treasures cover the 4-mana activation with colorless left over. The table sees the whole loop coming the moment Goldspan hits play alongside the other two pieces.

Recipe

How it works

01

Prerequisites

You have at least three opponents. Opponents are unable to pay for Smothering Tithe's trigger.

02

Steps

  1. Activate Faerie Mastermind by paying {3}{U}, causing each player to draw a card.
  2. Smothering Tithe triggers for each opponent you have, creating at least three Treasure tokens.
  3. Activate two Treasures by tapping and sacrificing them, adding {2}{U}{U}.
  4. Repeat.

03

Result

Infinite card draw for all players; Infinite draw triggers for all players; Near-infinite colored mana; Near-infinite colorless mana; Near-infinite Treasure tokens

Variations

Cheaper, tighter, alternate lines

The combo folds immediately if even one opponent pays the 2 for Smothering Tithe — it stops being self-funding, so tax-hating tables disrupt it for free. In a four-player pod the math is tightest; five or more opponents gives redundancy. Aetherflux Reservoir or Laboratory Maniac closes the game once the loop is running — neither piece is in the combo, so slot whichever fits the Jeskai shell better.
