Not Dead After All turns Eternal Witness into a self-recurring engine: the enchantment attaches a Wicked Role token and brings the Witness back tapped when it dies, and the Witness's enters-the-battlefield trigger returns Not Dead After All immediately. Phyrexian Altar converts each sacrifice into the black mana needed to recast the enchantment, so the loop costs nothing after the first cast. Cast Not Dead After All by paying , targeting Eternal Witness.
Activate Phyrexian Altar by sacrificing Eternal Witness, adding .
When Eternal Witness dies, it and any Wicked Role tokens that may be attached to it trigger.
If applicable, resolve the Wicked Role trigger, causing each opponent to lose 1 life.
Resolve the Eternal Witness trigger, returning it from your graveyard to the battlefield tapped, and attaching a Wicked Role token to it.
