The engine works by mutating Nethroi onto a non-Human creature, immediately sacrificing it to Carrion Feeder before the mutate trigger resolves, then letting that trigger return Eternal Witness and Mitotic Slime. Eternal Witness hands Nethroi back, Mitotic Slime's death chain through Carrion Feeder generates exactly enough Treasure via Pitiless Plunderer to pay the 4GW/BBB mutate cost again. Nethroi, Apex of Death is the natural commander for this shell, so the command zone functions as built-in redundancy for the combo piece that most needs to die.

Prerequisites

Steps

Cast Nethroi either from your hand or from the command zone for its mutate cost by paying plus commander tax, if applicable, putting it on top of a non-Human creature you control.
When Nethroi enters the battlefield, it triggers.
Holding priority, activate Carrion Feeder by sacrificing Nethroi.
When Nethroi dies, Pitiless Plunderer triggers, creating a Treasure artifact token.

Cheaper, tighter, alternate lines

The non-Human requirement is trivially satisfied by any creature Nethroi mutates onto, but the combo collapses if Carrion Feeder is removed — Viscera Seer or Altar of Dementia can substitute as the free sacrifice outlet. Zulaport Cutthroat or Blood Artist converts the infinite death triggers into an immediate table kill without needing to swing with the countered-up Feeder.
