Ghouls' Night Out + Phyrexian Altar + Blessed Sanctuary + Eternal Witness

4-card combo · WBG

Verdict

Yes — this 4-card loop generates infinite mana, infinite tokens, and infinite storm count as long as two opponents have creatures in their graveyards.

Ghouls' Night Out returns Eternal Witness plus two opponent-owned creatures; Blessed Sanctuary converts every entering creature into a 2/2 Unicorn token, giving Phyrexian Altar enough fodder to pay the full 3BB for the next cast. Eternal Witness recurs Ghouls' Night Out each iteration, keeping the chain self-sustaining. The combo lives in reanimator shells built around commanders like Karador, Ghost Chieftain or Muldrotha, the Gravetide that already want bodies in every graveyard.

Recipe

How it works

01

Prerequisites

At least two of your opponents have a creature card in their graveyard.

02

Steps

  1. Cast Ghouls' Night Out by paying {3}{B}{B}, returning Eternal Witness from your graveyard to the battlefield, and at least two other creatures from your opponents' graveyards to the battlefield under your control.
  2. When Eternal Witness and the creatures enter the battlefield, Blessed Sanctuary triggers once for each creature, and Eternal Witness triggers once.
  3. Resolve the Eternal Witness trigger, returning Ghouls' Night Out from your graveyard to your hand.
  4. Resolve all Blessed Sanctuary triggers, creating that many 2/2 Unicorn creature tokens.
  5. Activate Phyrexian Altar five times by sacrificing Eternal Witness, two creatures your opponents own, and two Unicorns, adding {3}{B}{B}.
  6. Repeat.

03

Result

Infinite colored mana; Infinite creature tokens; Infinite death triggers; Infinite ETB; Infinite LTB; Infinite magecraft triggers; Infinite sacrifice triggers; Infinite storm count

Variations

Cheaper, tighter, alternate lines

The loop's dependency on opponents' graveyards is the real fragility — graveyard hate that exiles before resolution breaks the engine cold, and a table running lean on creatures can strand the combo in hand. Blessed Sanctuary is the hardest piece to replace; Soul Warden or Suture Priest can substitute as life-gain triggers but don't produce the sacrificeable tokens Phyrexian Altar needs. If the loop is already running, Walking Ballista or Altar of Dementia closes the game without needing a dedicated wincon slot.
