Ghostly Flicker blinks Eternal Witness and Palinchron together; Eternal Witness puts Ghostly Flicker straight back to hand, and Palinchron untaps up to seven lands to pay for the next cast. The loop runs at sorcery speed through combat, but with seven lands producing three-plus mana, each cycle nets colorless and blue while triggering landfall, magecraft, and any ETB effect in play — standard Simic goodstuff territory, from Kruphix, God of Horizons to Kinnan, Bonder Prodigy.

Recipe

How it works

01

Prerequisites

You control up to seven lands that can tap to produce at least {2}{U}.

02

Steps

  1. Activate up to seven lands by tapping them, adding at least {2}{U}.
  2. Cast Ghostly Flicker by paying {2}{U}, blinking Eternal Witness and Palinchron.
  3. When Eternal Witness and Palinchron enter the battlefield, their abilities trigger.
  4. Resolve the Eternal Witness trigger, returning Ghostly Flicker to your hand from your graveyard.
  5. Resolve the Palinchron trigger, untapping up to seven lands.
  6. Repeat.
  7. If you control seven lands that can tap to produce at least {3}{U}, this combo nets infinite mana, and you may blink any other permanent besides Palinchron.

03

Result

Infinite blinking; Infinite ETB; Infinite landfall triggers; Infinite LTB; Infinite magecraft triggers; Infinite mana lands you control can produce; Infinite storm count; Infinite untap of lands you control

Variations

Cheaper, tighter, alternate lines

High Tide is the natural accelerant to hit the mana threshold earlier, letting the loop fire with fewer lands in play. Peregrine Drake swaps in for Palinchron as a cheaper-to-cast alternative that untaps five lands instead of seven — slower to go net-positive but easier to resolve through interaction. Once mana is infinite, Thassa's Oracle or Blue Sun's Zenith closes the game; the loop is the engine, the win condition is a separate slot.
