Faerie Mastermind + Smothering Tithe + Doubling Season
3-card combo · GWU
Verdict
Yes — this 3-card loop generates infinite card draw and near-infinite Treasure tokens as long as three opponents can't pay the Smothering Tithe tax.

Faerie Mastermind's activated ability costs 3U and makes each player draw; Smothering Tithe triggers once per opponent who skips the 2-mana payment, and Doubling Season doubles every Treasure created, turning three opponents into six tokens per activation — exactly enough to recoup the activation cost and then some. The loop lives in Esper or Bant stax shells where Smothering Tithe is already locking the table out of paying its tax, making the combo a natural fit for commanders like Oloro, Ageless Ascetic or Teferi, Temporal Archmage.
Recipe
How it works
01
Prerequisites
You have at least three opponents. Opponents are unable to pay for Smothering Tithe's trigger.
02
Steps
- Activate Faerie Mastermind by paying
, causing each player to draw a card.
- Smothering Tithe triggers for each opponent you have, creating at least six Treasure tokens.
- Activate four Treasures by tapping and sacrificing them, adding
.
- Repeat.
03
Result
Infinite card draw for all players; Infinite draw triggers for all players; Near-infinite colored mana; Near-infinite colorless mana; Near-infinite Treasure tokens
Variations
Cheaper, tighter, alternate lines
The combo collapses entirely if any opponent can pay 2 for Smothering Tithe, so running Stasis, Frozen Aether, or other tap-down effects to prevent that payment is mandatory infrastructure, not optional. Infinite draw without a payoff is just a loss-by-decking — pair with Thassa's Oracle or Laboratory Maniac before going off, since the draw hits all players simultaneously and opponents hit empty libraries first only if lucky.
