Agrus Kos copies activated abilities and triggered abilities targeting him, so Soulbright Flamekin's 2-mana pump becomes an 8-red flood on each iteration, and Felidar Guardian's ETB blink gets cloned across every creature you control. Warden of the Eye closes the loop by returning Deflecting Swat from the graveyard on each blink cycle, which redirects the remaining Felidar Guardian triggers back to Agrus Kos to restart. The combo is a Jeskai good-stuff build's dream engine — three colors, a commander that multiplies tempo, and a kill condition that falls out of the loop itself.

Recipe

How it works

01

Prerequisites

You control your commander. You have not activated Soulbright Flamekin's ability more than twice this turn.

02

Steps

  1. Activate Soulbright Flamekin by paying {2}, targeting Agrus Kos.
  2. Agrus Kos triggers, causing you to pay {1}{R/W} to copy Soulbright Flamekin's ability targeting each other creature you control.
  3. Resolve all Soulbright Flamekin triggers, giving the targeted creatures trample until end of turn and adding eight {R}.
  4. Cast Felidar Guardian by paying {3}{W}.
  5. When Felidar Guardian enters the battlefield, it triggers, targeting Agrus Kos.
  6. Agrus Kos triggers, causing you to pay {1}{R/W} to copy Felidar Guardian's trigger, targeting each other creature you control except Felidar Guardian.
  7. Resolve the copies of Felidar Guardian's trigger targeting Soulbright Flamekin and Warden of the Eye, blinking Soulbright Flamekin and Warden of the Eye.
  8. When Warden of the Eye enters the battlefield, it triggers, returning Deflecting Swat from your graveyard to your hand.
  9. Holding priority, activate Soulbright Flamekin by paying {2}, targeting Agrus Kos.
  10. Agrus Kos triggers, causing you to pay {1}{R/W} to copy Soulbright Flamekin's ability targeting each other creature you control.
  11. Resolve all Soulbright Flamekin triggers, giving the targeted creatures trample until end of turn and adding eight {R}.
  12. Cast Deflecting Swat by paying {0}, changing any of the remaining Felidar Guardian triggers not targeting Agrus Kos to target Agrus Kos instead.
  13. Repeat from step 6.

03

Result

Infinite LTB; Infinite ETB; Infinite storm count; Infinite red mana; Infinite magecraft triggers; Infinite blinking

Variations

Cheaper, tighter, alternate lines

The loop needs a win condition beyond the engine — Aetherflux Reservoir converts infinite storm count into a table kill, and Impact Tremors or Purphoros, God of the Forge closes on infinite ETBs without requiring a second spell. Deflecting Swat is the most replaceable piece; any redirect effect that retargets a trigger to Agrus Kos at instant speed does the same work, though Swat's free-cast clause when you control your commander is what makes the math here net-positive.
