Agrus Kos, Eternal Soldier is the engine: every activated ability or triggered ability on your creatures gets copied for {1}{R/W}, turning Soulbright Flamekin's {2} pump into eight red mana per cycle and Felidar Guardian's blink into a multi-target flicker. Pinnacle Monk // Mystic Peak is the glue — each time it enters, it recovers Deflecting Swat from the graveyard, which then redirects the leftover Felidar Guardian trigger back to Agrus Kos to restart the loop. The table sees a Boros creature package that does nothing until Agrus Kos is on board, then wins through a single Felidar Guardian cast.

Recipe

How it works

01

Prerequisites

You control your commander. You have not activated Soulbright Flamekin's ability more than twice this turn.

02

Steps

  1. Activate Soulbright Flamekin by paying {2}, targeting Agrus Kos.
  2. Agrus Kos triggers, causing you to pay {1}{R/W} to copy Soulbright Flamekin's ability targeting each other creature you control.
  3. Resolve all Soulbright Flamekin triggers, giving the targeted creatures trample until end of turn and adding eight {R}.
  4. Cast Felidar Guardian by paying {3}{W}.
  5. When Felidar Guardian enters the battlefield, it triggers, targeting Agrus Kos.
  6. Agrus Kos triggers, causing you to pay {1}{R/W} to copy Felidar Guardian's trigger, targeting each other creature you control except Felidar Guardian.
  7. Resolve the copies of Felidar Guardian's trigger targeting Soulbright Flamekin and Pinnacle Monk, blinking Soulbright Flamekin and Pinnacle Monk.
  8. When Pinnacle Monk enters the battlefield, it triggers, returning Deflecting Swat from your graveyard to your hand.
  9. Holding priority, activate Soulbright Flamekin by paying {2}, targeting Agrus Kos.
  10. Agrus Kos triggers, causing you to pay {1}{R/W} to copy Soulbright Flamekin's ability targeting each other creature you control.
  11. Resolve all Soulbright Flamekin triggers, giving the targeted creatures trample until end of turn and adding eight {R}.
  12. Cast Deflecting Swat by paying {0}, changing any of the remaining Felidar Guardian triggers not targeting Agrus Kos to target Agrus Kos instead.
  13. Repeat from step 6.

03

Result

Infinite LTB; Infinite ETB; Infinite storm count; Infinite red mana; Infinite magecraft triggers; Infinite blinking

Variations

Cheaper, tighter, alternate lines

The loop is tight and has no obvious single-card swap — Pinnacle Monk's specific ETB is load-bearing, and Deflecting Swat's free redirect is what keeps the Felidar Guardian trigger pointed at Agrus Kos each iteration. Infinite red mana without a built-in outlet means pairing this with a sink like Comet Storm or Aria of Flame; the storm count and magecraft triggers are only kills if a payoff is already in play. If Agrus Kos is answered at instant speed mid-loop the chain collapses, so Deflecting Swat should be held in reserve for protection rather than spent early.
