Displacer Kitten blinks Returned Pastcaller on every noncreature spell cast; each blink returns the other spell from the graveyard to hand, alternating Dark Ritual and Frantic Search in a self-sustaining loop. Dark Ritual funds Frantic Search, Frantic Search untaps the lands that let Dark Ritual fire again, and every cycle draws two cards while filling the graveyard. Spellslinger commanders that already want Displacer Kitten — Niv-Mizzet, Parun; Veyran, Voice of Duality — have the easiest time assembling this, since Frantic Search is already a staple cantrip in those lists.

Variations
Cheaper, tighter, alternate lines
Returned Pastcaller is the hardest piece to replace; it specifically recurs instants and sorceries on ETB, and there is no direct swap at the same mana cost. Frantic Search can run alongside other free-or-cheap untap spells if the loop needs redundancy, but the core four are load-bearing. Close the loop with Thassa's Oracle, Grapeshot, or Aetherflux Reservoir — the engine fills the hand and counts spells, the kill is the pilot's call.
