Faerie Mastermind + Smothering Tithe + Clever Impersonator

3-card combo · WU

Verdict

Yes — this 3-card loop generates near-infinite mana and draws every player's library as long as two opponents can't pay the Treasure tax.

Clever Impersonator enters as a second Smothering Tithe; each Faerie Mastermind activation draws each player a card, triggering both Tithes for every opponent who skips the 2-mana payment — four Treasures at minimum in a 4-player pod. Those four Treasures cover the 3U activation cost exactly, making the loop self-sustaining until opponents answer one of the three pieces or start paying their taxes.

Recipe

How it works

01

Prerequisites

Clever Impersonator on the battlefield as a copy of Smothering Tithe You have at least two opponents which are unable to pay for Smothering Tithe's trigger.

02

Steps

  1. Activate Faerie Mastermind by paying {3}{U}, causing each player to draw a card.
  2. Smothering Tithe and Clever Impersonator trigger for each opponent you have, creating at least four Treasure tokens.
  3. Activate four Treasures by tapping and sacrificing them, adding {3}{U}.
  4. Repeat.

03

Result

Near-infinite colored mana; Infinite draw triggers for all players; Near-infinite Treasure tokens; Infinite card draw for all players

Variations

Cheaper, tighter, alternate lines

A second actual Smothering Tithe replaces Clever Impersonator if redundancy is the goal, removing the single-blue-pip restriction on the copy. The loop draws all players into their libraries but doesn't close the game alone — Thassa's Oracle or Jace, Wielder of Mysteries converts the forced draw into a win; Aetherflux Reservoir does the same with the storm count.
