Maskwood Nexus makes every creature an Angel and a Spirit, so Bishop of Wings fires on every enter and leave — Priest of Fell Rites and Necrotic Ooze alternate roles, each paying three life to sacrifice and then returning the other, with Lightning Greaves shuttling between them to enable the tap-and-sacrifice each loop. The net life gain per cycle is positive, so the three-life cost is self-sustaining as long as a life total of four exists at the start. This is a white-black reanimator shell combo — it wants Buried Alive or Entomb to seed the graveyard and tutors like Vampiric Tutor or Demonic Tutor to find Maskwood Nexus, the hardest piece to replace.

  5. Resolve the Priest of Fell Rites ability, returning Necrotic Ooze from your graveyard to the battlefield.

Variations

Cheaper, tighter, alternate lines

The five-card requirement is the real ceiling here — cutting any single piece collapses the loop, so redundancy matters more than substitution. Swapping Lightning Greaves for Thousand-Year Elixir lets the activated abilities untap without equip, but Elixir's 2-mana activation on Necrotic Ooze costs colorless rather than zero, which still works. Pair the infinite token output with Anointed Procession to double the Spirits mid-loop, or close with a Blood Artist or Zulaport Cutthroat in play to drain the table the moment death triggers go infinite.
