Yoke of the Damned turns any creature into a liability for its controller — the moment that creature is dealt damage, they sacrifice it. Two mana for that effect is efficient, but the conditional trigger means it does nothing until something takes a hit, which limits it to decks that can guarantee damage on demand.

In Commander, Yoke of the Damned earns a slot in decks that ping creatures repeatedly — Pestilence, Pyrohemia, or a Stuffy Doll-style shell turns it into a repeatable removal engine for two mana. Outside of those synergy shells, it's too slow and conditional to compete with unconditional removal like Doom Blade or Cast Down. In Pauper, where common-legal removal is constrained, Yoke of the Damned sees occasional use in black-red builds that can threaten damage every turn. Legacy and Vintage have no interest in it — the card is simply outclassed by faster, cleaner options at every turn.

$0.07 bulk tier
At $0.07, Yoke of the Damned is deep bulk — you're paying more in transaction fees than card value if you buy it alone. Pick it out of a bulk box or grab it as a throw-in; it holds no monetary value worth tracking.
