Weaver of Currents puts two mana on the board the turn it enters — enough to cast Arcanis the Omnipotent a full turn early in a Sultai shell. Three mana for a 2/3 that taps for two is a clean rate, and any deck that wants to land expensive permanents ahead of curve runs it without apology.

Commander is the only format where Weaver of Currents earns a regular slot — the format's high average mana costs make a repeatable two-mana dork genuinely valuable, and Sultai or Simic strategies are always hunting for ramp that scales into the late game. In Legacy, Modern, or Pioneer, dedicated ramp strategies have faster and more resilient options, and a 2/3 body that doesn't accelerate until turn three can't compete with the format's clock. Weaver of Currents is a Commander card through and through.

Current price
$0.11 bulk tier
At $0.11, Weaver of Currents is pure bulk — pick it up in any common box without a second thought. The price is unlikely to move meaningfully in either direction; it fills a niche role in casual Commander and has no competitive demand pushing it up.
