Trove of Temptation puts a free artifact on the board every turn cycle and forces opponents to swing at you — both effects start immediately at four mana. The forced-attack clause is a liability against aggressive tables, but in any deck that wants artifacts or sacrifices attackers, Trove of Temptation is a clean role-player; Time Sieve decks in particular turn the token stream into extra turns without batting an eye.

Trove of Temptation is a Commander card through and through — the political tension of forced attacks and the incremental artifact generation both scale with the multiplayer environment in ways that never translate to one-on-one. In Legacy, Modern, or Vintage, a four-mana enchantment that hands your opponent a free attacker every turn is simply giving away the game; those formats will never touch it competitively. Commander is the only context where the forced-attack clause can be pointed at an opponent across the table while a third player benefits, and where a Treasure token per upkeep compounds into something meaningful over a long game.

At $0.19, Trove of Temptation is deep bulk — grab a copy out of any dollar bin without hesitation. Price movement is unlikely given how narrowly the card performs, but at this tier the question was never cost.
