Tribal Flames deals up to 5 damage for two mana — matching Lightning Helix's ceiling at sorcery speed and one mana cheaper when all five basic land types are in play. It's a Modern and Legacy staple in five-color domain shells precisely because that ceiling is trivially reachable, and in Commander it fills the same role for any deck running a full domain suite.

Tribal Flames earns its keep in Modern and Legacy domain decks, where fetch lands and shock lands make hitting all five basic land types by turn two or three routine — at which point it's a two-mana deal-5 at sorcery speed, a rate almost nothing else touches. In Pauper it's legal but domain is harder to assemble on a common-only mana base, so it sees fringe play at best. Commander is the interesting case: five-color commanders and domain-themed builds like those led by Jared Carthalion or Garth One-Eye can reliably hit the full five land types, making Tribal Flames a cheap, scalable burn spell that also doubles as reach for the final points of damage in a politically complicated format where blockers complicate combat.

Price data isn't currently available for Tribal Flames, so check Scryfall or TCGPlayer for the latest. Given its sustained Modern play and the renewed interest in domain strategies, copies are unlikely to be bulk — but it's not a high-demand single either, so picking up a copy at your local store should be straightforward.
