Stitch Together reanimates any creature from your graveyard for two mana — as long as you've hit threshold, it's the cheapest unconditional recursion in black. Terra, Herald of Hope decks hit eight cards in the yard so reliably that the threshold clause is almost never a restriction.
Best Commanders
Commanders with the highest synergy

Terra, Herald of Hope
Terra, Herald of Hope mills aggressively enough that Stitch Together almost always resolves at its threshold cost, turning a two-mana instant-speed reanimation spell into one of the most efficient plays in the deck.

The Ancient One
The Ancient One churns through the library at a rate that makes threshold trivial, and Stitch Together gives the deck a cheap, flexible line to recover a key creature after a boardwipe without touching a tutor.

Raffine, Scheming Seer
Raffine, Scheming Seer connives repeatedly over the course of a game, stacking the graveyard naturally so Stitch Together hits threshold early and turns every combat step into a potential setup for free recursion on the following turn.

Celes, Rune Knight
Celes, Rune Knight fills the graveyard through equipment and combat synergies, and Stitch Together slots in as a low-cost way to rebuy a key creature that was answered before it could fire.
Emet-Selch, Unsundered
Emet-Selch, Unsundered cares about creatures entering from the graveyard, making Stitch Together a mana-efficient trigger source that also recovers whatever piece the table just removed.
Format Analysis
Where it lives, where it can’t
| Format | Verdict |
|---|---|
| commander | legal |
| legacy | legal |
| modern | not legal |
| pioneer | not legal |
| standard | not legal |
| vintage | legal |
| pauper | not legal |
| oathbreaker | legal |
Commander is where Stitch Together earns its keep — graveyard-filling commanders hit threshold by turn three or four with regularity, and two mana to reanimate anything unconditionally is a rate that scales with the power of what's in your yard. In Legacy and Vintage it's legal but outclassed: those formats have access to Reanimate and Entomb, and the threshold requirement is a liability when you can't guarantee graveyard density in the early turns. Stitch Together is not legal in Modern, Pioneer, Standard, or Pauper, so Commander and Oathbreaker are its real homes — and in Oathbreaker, where games are faster and graveyards fill unevenly, the threshold clause is more of a genuine constraint than in the 100-card format.

Price Context
Current price
$2.69 cheap tier
At $2.69, Stitch Together sits in the cheap tier but punches well above that price point for what it does — two-mana unconditional reanimation is a rare rate, and demand from graveyard-heavy Commander builds keeps it from dropping further. It's a safe pickup at this price; it doesn't spike, but it doesn't bulk out either.
