Siegehorn Ceratops card art
Siegehorn Ceratops enters as a 2/2 for two mana and snowballs into a legitimate threat every time you deal combat damage — the kind of card that punishes opponents for not blocking. Wayta, Trainer Prodigy turns that trigger engine into something absurd, using Siegehorn Ceratops as both a reliable payoff and a free way to fire her ability.

Wayta, Trainer Prodigy

63.5% of decks · synergy 0.62

Wayta, Trainer Prodigy's ability triggers whenever a creature you control fights or deals combat damage to another creature, which means Siegehorn Ceratops grows every single time Wayta pings something — two counters per trigger add up fast in a deck built to abuse that loop.

In Commander, Siegehorn Ceratops is nearly exclusive to Wayta, Trainer Prodigy builds, where it functions as a core piece of the damage-trigger engine rather than a generic beatstick. Outside that shell, a two-mana 2/2 that needs combat damage to grow isn't competitive enough to see play in most pods. In Modern and Pioneer, the same problem applies — Siegehorn Ceratops grows too slowly to matter against decks that end the game on turn three or four, and there's no shell that reliably weaponizes the trigger. Legacy and Vintage have no interest in it for the same reasons at an even steeper power-level gap.

Price Context

Current price

$0.53 bulk tier

At $0.53, Siegehorn Ceratops is bulk — you're picking this up as a near-freeroll inclusion in Wayta, Trainer Prodigy lists. Bulk rares in narrow Commander niches don't tend to spike unless the commander breaks through, so don't expect the price to move meaningfully.
