Safewright Quest fetches any Forest or Plains — basic or dual — directly onto the battlefield, tapped, for a single green or white mana with one quest counter to satisfy. It's a legitimate one-mana land-fetcher in Selesnya colors, narrowly outclassed by Adventurous Impulse variants but never embarrassing in the right shell.
Format Analysis
Where it lives, where it can’t
| Format | Verdict |
|---|---|

| modern | legal |
| pioneer | not legal |
| standard | not legal |
| vintage | legal |
| pauper | legal |
| oathbreaker | legal |
In Commander, Safewright Quest earns its slot in Selesnya or multicolor decks that need cheap land fixing and can't afford fetchlands — it grabs Temple Garden or Canopy Vista as easily as a basic, which matters when you're color-stretched. Pauper is the format where it genuinely competes at a high level, since dual land access at common is rare and one mana is a real rate. In Legacy and Vintage the effect is too modest — those formats have better fixing at lower opportunity cost, and Safewright Quest never sees play there. Modern has outgrown it entirely; Abundant Harvest and cheap cantrip-fetchers do the job with more flexibility.

Price Context
Current price
$0.29 bulk tier
At $0.29, Safewright Quest sits firmly in bulk territory — buy a playset without thinking about it. Bulk commons and uncommons with niche utility tend to stay flat, so don't expect movement in either direction.
