In Commander, Rune-Sealed Wall earns its slot in graveyard-matters and self-mill decks that want repeatable looting without leaning on a single fragile piece. In competitive 60-card formats like Modern and Legacy it's too slow and too low-impact to see meaningful play — those formats have better draw-and-discard options at lower mana investment. Pioneer and Standard give it the most room to breathe in a vacuum, though it still needs a dedicated graveyard payoff shell to justify inclusion over more efficient cyclers. Oathbreaker follows the same logic as Commander: powerful if the signature spell or planeswalker cares about what's in the bin.
