Ronom Serpent is a 7/4 that can gain protection from snow for a single mana — reasonable stats with a conditional defensive upside. The catch is a cumulative upward-scaling snow mana cost just to keep it on the battlefield, which makes it a liability outside dedicated snow builds; Jon Irenicus, Shattered One turns that liability into a feature by gifting the Serpent to an opponent and watching them drown in upkeep costs.
