Roiling Regrowth puts two basic lands into play tapped at instant speed — that's the whole deal, and it's better than it sounds. Sacrificing a land as the cost is real, but the net gain of one land plus the instant timing makes it pull serious weight in Hearthhull, the Worldseed builds and any shell that wants lands entering the battlefield repeatedly.
Best Commanders
Commanders with the highest synergy

Hearthhull, the Worldseed
Hearthhull, the Worldseed cares directly about lands entering play, and Roiling Regrowth delivers two at once at instant speed — triggering Hearthhull twice off a single spell is the whole reason this card shows up in 69% of those decks.

Obuun, Mul Daya Ancestor
Obuun, Mul Daya Ancestor pumps a creature for each land that enters, so Roiling Regrowth's two-land swing translates immediately to a +2/+2 burst at instant speed — strong enough to close attacks out of nowhere.

Titania, Nature's Force
Titania, Nature's Force creates Elemental tokens whenever forests enter, and Roiling Regrowth fetching two basics means two potential Elementals off a single two-mana instant.

Szarel, Genesis Shepherd
Szarel, Genesis Shepherd rewards repeated land drops and landfall triggers, and Roiling Regrowth pulling two basics at instant speed fits cleanly into that engine while also enabling the sacrifice outlet Szarel wants from the land you spend to cast it.

Titania, Protector of Argoth
Titania, Protector of Argoth generates a 5/3 token whenever a land goes to the graveyard from play, so the land you sacrifice to cast Roiling Regrowth is a free 5/3 — and then the two lands entering set up future sacrifices.
Format Analysis
Where it lives, where it can’t
| Format | Verdict |

| modern | legal |
| pioneer | legal |
| standard | not legal |
| vintage | legal |
| pauper | not legal |
| oathbreaker | legal |
Commander is where Roiling Regrowth lives — landfall commanders in green are everywhere, and the instant-speed two-land burst at two mana is hard to replicate cleanly at that price. In Modern and Pioneer it's technically legal but sees almost no play; dedicated ramp strategies there run Cultivate effects at sorcery speed without caring, and the land-sacrifice cost is a real downside outside landfall synergy. Legacy and Vintage have no use for it. Oathbreaker mirrors Commander's appeal for the same landfall-heavy builds.

Price Context
Current price
$0.33 bulk tier
At $0.33, Roiling Regrowth is bulk — you're picking this up as a throw-in or out of a bulk bin. That price is stable; a two-mana instant ramp spell with niche but real synergy doesn't spike, but it also doesn't disappear into unplayability.
