Roar of Resistance gives every attacking token double strike for the turn — in a token-wide attack, that's not a pump spell, it's a win condition. The catch is the four-mana cost, which is steep for a single combat trick, so it earns its slot almost exclusively alongside Breath of Fury loops or under Neyali, Suns' Vanguard, where the doubled triggers make the math obscene.
Best Commanders
Commanders with the highest synergy

Neyali, Suns' Vanguard
Neyali, Suns' Vanguard already gives attacking tokens double strike, so Roar of Resistance stacks on top — but the real reason it's in 83% of Neyali lists is that each double-striking token triggers Neyali's draw ability twice, turning a wide attack into a full hand refill.

Otharri, Suns' Glory
Otharri, Suns' Glory generates a stream of experience-counter-fueled tokens, and Roar of Resistance converts that wide board into a lethal swing; the synergy is real but more generic than Neyali's, which explains the lower inclusion rate.

Xyris, the Writhing Storm
Xyris, the Writhing Storm floods the board with Snake tokens whenever opponents draw cards, and Roar of Resistance turns that incidental token production into a credible alpha strike — it's not a core piece here, but it closes games the deck otherwise couldn't.
Format Analysis

| oathbreaker | legal |
Roar of Resistance is a Commander card through and through — the token-wide double strike only becomes a haymaker when you have five, ten, or twenty attackers, a condition multiplayer games create naturally. It's legal in Legacy and Vintage but sees no meaningful play there; four mana for a combat trick doesn't compete in formats where threats end games on turns two and three. Oathbreaker is the one other format where Roar of Resistance could realistically matter, since token planeswalker strategies can assemble wide boards fast enough to reward it.

Current price
$1.20 cheap tier
At $1.20, Roar of Resistance sits at the low end of the cheap tier — easy to pick up without a second thought for any token deck that can use it. The price is unlikely to move much given it's a narrow build-around rather than a staple, so there's no urgency to buy in bulk.
