Rebellious Strike

In Commander, Rebellious Strike earns its slot only in spellslinger decks that care about spell count or recur instants — outside of Lyse Hext and Feather, the Redeemed, the effect is too low-impact for a 100-card singleton format where card slots are precious. In Pauper, the common designation keeps it in the conversation, but the effect doesn't compete with the format's tighter removal and combat tricks. In competitive 60-card formats — Modern, Pioneer, Legacy — Rebellious Strike doesn't register; the damage ceiling is too low and the pump doesn't match what those formats demand from a two-mana spell. Standard is the one place a budget aggro or spells-matter deck might give it a look, though it will always be outclassed by more efficient options. Treat it as a Commander-only role player, and only then in the right shell.
