Ravenous Intruder turns a board full of artifacts into a lethal threat in a single attack step — sacrifice your Nuka-Cola Vending Machine and every other artifact you can spare, and it closes games that other one-drops couldn't touch. The cost is real: you need a stocked artifact supply to make it hit hard, and an empty board leaves it a 1/1 with no teeth.

Commander is where Ravenous Intruder lives. Artifact-sacrifice synergies are dense in the format — Breya, Etherium Shaper, Toggo, Goblin Weaponsmith, and Korvold, Fae-Cursed King all generate the fodder it wants — and the longer games give you time to build the board state it needs. In competitive 60-card formats like Modern and Legacy it's too conditional; a 1/1 that requires setup to matter doesn't slot cleanly into any established shell.
