Enchantment — Aura
You may cast this spell as though it had flash. If you cast it any time a sorcery couldn't have been cast, the controller of the permanent it becomes sacrifices it at the beginning of the next cleanup step.

Mystic Veil grants a creature shroud until end of turn for one blue mana at instant speed — cheap protection that blanks a removal spell or combat trick right when it matters. It's narrow and single-use, but at one mana it asks almost nothing to hold up.
Format Analysis
Where it lives, where it can’t

In Commander, Mystic Veil competes in a crowded one-mana protection slot alongside Slip Out the Back and Dive Down, and it loses that fight more often than it wins — shroud blocks your own targeting too, which matters when your commander wants equipment or auras. In Pauper, the commons pool is tighter and one-mana instant shroud has more relevance in tempo and aura-based strategies. Legacy and Vintage have the raw speed to occasionally want this kind of cheap interaction, but those formats have better options. Mystic Veil is most at home in a budget Pauper shell where the alternatives genuinely cost more.

Current price
$0.17 bulk tier
At $0.17, Mystic Veil is deep bulk — you're paying for cardboard, not scarcity. The price is stable because demand is low, not because the card is underrated.
