Myojin of Infinite Rage card art
Myojin of Infinite Rage destroys every land on the battlefield when you remove its divinity counter — a nine-mana Stone Rain that ends games by stranding opponents with empty mana bases. The cost is the cost: you need to cast it from hand to get the counter, it's nine mana, and the turn you pop it you're also sitting on no lands.

Format Analysis

Commander is the only format where Myojin of Infinite Rage is worth serious consideration — a multiplayer table means three opponents lose all their lands simultaneously, which converts a symmetrical effect into a lopsided one if you rebuild faster than they do. Pairing it with land recursion, mana doublers already in play, or a commander that benefits from an empty board (Ruination effects, Wildfire strategies) is what separates a game-winning play from a mutual setback. In Legacy and Vintage it's legal but irrelevant — nine mana doesn't exist in those formats outside of fringe Sneak Attack shells, and even there the payoff isn't worth the slot. Modern is the same story: the card is theoretically castable and practically never played.

Price Context

Current price

$1.86 cheap tier

At $1.86, Myojin of Infinite Rage sits in the bulk-rare tier, which is fair for a card with a narrow use case and no competitive demand. The price is stable — it won't spike unless a mass land destruction commander breaks into heavy rotation, which isn't happening soon.
