Wildfire destroys four lands and four creatures on both sides of the table, then lets whoever stockpiled mana rocks or sacrificed extra lands rebuild first. At four red mana it's a symmetrical reset that punishes equal boards and rewards asymmetrical setups — run it when you're ahead on artifacts or when Zo-Zu the Punisher has already drained enough life that replaying lands finishes the job.

Commander is where Wildfire earns its keep — a four-player table means three opponents all losing four lands simultaneously, which creates a catch-up problem nobody solves cleanly if you've built around artifact mana or an indestructible commander. In Legacy and Vintage it's legal but essentially unplayed; the formats move too fast for a six-mana sorcery to matter before the game is decided. Oathbreaker is the sleeper application: lower starting resources and a recurring planeswalker make the asymmetry easier to engineer. Wildfire is a Commander card through and through.
