Mobilize untaps all your creatures for a single green mana — in any deck that generates mana through tapping creatures, that's a full second activation of your entire board on the same turn. Marwyn, the Nurturer and Selvala, Explorer Returned both turn it into a ritual that can loop with the right support, making Mobilize a functional must-include in any green creature-mana shell.
Best Commanders
Commanders with the highest synergy

Selvala, Explorer Returned
Selvala, Explorer Returned taps for mana and draws cards, so Mobilize effectively doubles her output in a single turn — cast it mid-combo to untap her alongside every mana dork on board and extend the chain long enough to find a win condition.

Alaundo the Seer
Alaundo the Seer puts cards into play off the top and wants to untap as many times as possible each turn cycle; Mobilize resets every tapped creature at instant speed, letting Alaundo's triggers fire again and accelerating through the cascade of spells he queues up.
Format Analysis
Where it lives, where it can’t
| Format | Verdict |
|---|---|
| commander | legal |
| legacy | legal |
| modern | not legal |
| pioneer | not legal |
| standard | not legal |
| vintage | legal |
| pauper | legal |
| oathbreaker | legal |
Commander is where Mobilize earns its keep — green creature-mana strategies are ubiquitous there, and one green mana to untap a full board is disproportionately powerful at a 100-card table where boards get wide fast. In Pauper, Mobilize is legal but the format's creature-mana engines are less developed, so it sees only niche play in dedicated tap-for-value shells. Legacy and Vintage permit it but ignore it — those formats move too fast for a sorcery that asks you to already have creatures in play. Outside of Commander, Mobilize is essentially a specialty card.

Cheaper options that do most of the same work
If Mobilize is out of budget, Vitalize is the direct functional reprint — identical effect, identical cost, and available for well under $1, making it a straight swap in any deck that just wants the untap effect. Benefactor's Draught adds a draw trigger on top of the untap but costs one more mana and requires instant-speed evaluation; it's a reasonable step up in value if you're willing to pay the extra mana.
Price Context
Current price
$8.90 mid tier
At $8.90, Mobilize sits in the mid tier — notable for a one-mana sorcery, but the price reflects its role as a genuine combo enabler in high-synergy green builds. It holds that price because Vitalize exists as a near-identical substitute, keeping demand concentrated among players who specifically want redundancy or the original printing rather than absolute power-seekers.
