Militia's Pride card art
Militia's Pride turns every attacking non-token creature into a token factory, snowballing board width at near-zero mana investment after the initial two-mana enchantment cost. In any white token or tribal deck, it's a must-answer threat — Brigid, Clachan's Heart in particular runs it in nearly a third of all lists for good reason.

Brigid, Clachan's Heart triggers on each attacking creature independently, so Militia's Pride turns every swing into an exponential token flood — each new token that attacks next combat generates another, compounding faster than most tables can answer.

Format Analysis

Commander is where Militia's Pride earns its keep — go-wide tribal decks like Kithkin, Soldiers, and Humans turn it into a token engine that scales with board size and punishes any turn the deck is left unopposed. In Legacy and Vintage it's legal but functionally invisible; the formats are too fast and interaction-dense for a two-mana enchantment that requires combat to generate value. Oathbreaker offers a narrower home in aggressive token strategies, though the 20-life clock makes the snowball less relevant than it would be at 40. Outside of Commander, skip it.

Budget Alternatives

Cheaper options that do most of the same work

Raise the Alarm and Timely Reinforcements generate tokens without requiring attackers, which is more consistent but misses the compounding upside Militia's Pride offers over a long game. If the token engine angle is the draw, Intangible Virtue or Anointed Procession do more work per game in most white token builds, though neither replicates the attack-trigger loop directly.

Price Context

Current price

$6.28 mid tier

At $6.28, Militia's Pride sits in the mid tier — affordable enough to include on budget, but not a throw-in. Demand comes almost entirely from Commander, so the price is stable as long as Kithkin and tribal token strategies stay popular.
