Mechtitan Core

Artifact — Vehicle

{5}, Exile this Vehicle and four other artifact creatures and/or Vehicles you control: Create Mechtitan, a legendary 10/10 Construct artifact creature token with flying, vigilance, trample, lifelink, and haste that's all colors. When that token leaves the battlefield, return all cards exiled with this Vehicle except this card to the battlefield tapped under their owners' control.

Mechtitan Core card art
Mechtitan Core turns five artifacts and/or Vehicles into a 10/10 flying, vigilance, trample, lifelink, haste token that exiles every nonland permanent it connects with — that's a one-card board wipe stapled to a finisher. The cost is real: you need four other artifacts in play to sacrifice, and losing them to a Disenchant on the Core before the ability resolves ends the party. Kotori, Pilot Prodigy lists run it in over half their builds, and the numbers make sense: when you can crew and recur Vehicles trivially, assembling the five-piece is routine rather than aspirational.

Commanders with the highest synergy

01
Kotori, Pilot Prodigy

Kotori, Pilot Prodigy

54.2% of decks · synergy 0.50

Kotori, Pilot Prodigy crewing Vehicles for free means the five artifacts Mechtitan Core demands are already on the table most games, making the combo a natural top-end rather than a cute one-of.

02
Kolodin, Triumph Caster

Kolodin, Triumph Caster

40.5% of decks · synergy 0.40

Kolodin, Triumph Caster cares about attacking with artifacts, and Mechtitan Core delivers a 10/10 haste attacker that wipes the board on contact — a clean payoff for the artifact-Vehicle theme Kolodin incentivizes.

03
Shorikai, Genesis Engine

Shorikai, Genesis Engine

41.1% of decks · synergy 0.37

Shorikai, Genesis Engine generates pilot tokens and accumulates artifact permanents at scale, giving Mechtitan Core the five-piece fodder it needs while Shorikai's own Vehicle body counts toward the total.

04
Balthier and Fran

Balthier and Fran

34.9% of decks · synergy 0.35

Balthier and Fran rewards artifact synergies and graveyard recursion, so the permanents sacrificed to Mechtitan Core aren't gone forever — they come back, and the Core can threaten again.

05
Greasefang, Okiba Boss

Greasefang, Okiba Boss

34.3% of decks · synergy 0.34

Greasefang, Okiba Boss mills and recurs Vehicles from the graveyard, which naturally stocks the board with the artifacts Mechtitan Core needs to go off while staying on-theme.

oathbreaker

Mechtitan Core is legal in Commander, Legacy, Modern, Pioneer, Vintage, and Oathbreaker — but Commander is where it actually sees play. In competitive 60-card formats, a five-piece sacrifice setup that produces a single attacker is far too slow and removal-fragile to compete, and the token doesn't win on the spot in a meaningful Modern or Legacy context. Oathbreaker could support it in the right artifact shell, but the card's natural home is the 100-card singleton environment where Vehicles and artifact synergies are a named archetype and the games go long enough for a 10/10 that exiles permanents to close things out.
