Last Voyage of the _____ exiles all nonland permanents you control and replaces them with a 3/3 Pirate token for each one — a full board wipe that turns itself into an army. The catch is real: you lose everything you've built, which makes it a reset button, not a finisher, unless your deck is designed to profit from the exile trigger, as Abdel Adrian, Gorion's Ward decks are.

Last Voyage of the _____ carries three hard restrictions: it requires you to fill in a creature type, it only affects your own permanents, and its payoff scales entirely with how many things you sacrifice to it. Legacy and Vintage banned it, and Oathbreaker followed — in those formats, the ability to wipe your own board and flood it with 3/3s on demand enables loops too easily, particularly alongside cheap reanimation and flicker effects. Commander gives it a pass because the singleton rule limits redundancy, the political reality of a four-player game means blowing up your own board is often a real cost, and the format is built around commanders that can be designed around exactly this kind of mass-exile payoff.
