Kindred Boon card art
Kindred Boon turns a tribal board into an indestructible one, dropping a divinity counter on any creature that shares a type with your chosen tribe every upkeep — for free once it's on the battlefield. The cost is the setup: four mana to cast plus one more to kick off each activation, which means slower commanders struggle to leverage it, but in something like Clavileño, First of the Blessed where Agatha's Soul Cauldron and recursive threats already demand answers every turn, that indestructibility tax becomes backbreaking for opponents.

Clavileño, First of the Blessed

Clavileño, First of the Blessed builds a Vampire board that demands removal every single turn, and Kindred Boon makes that removal nearly irrelevant — stack divinity counters on your best threats and your opponents run out of answers before you run out of creatures.

Kindred Boon is a Commander card, full stop. In Legacy and Vintage it's technically legal but the four-mana do-nothing-until-your-next-upkeep enchantment has no competitive home — those formats kill you before the first counter lands. Commander is where the math works: tribal decks run 20-plus creatures sharing a type, so the enchantment scales hard and the incremental indestructibility compounds over a long game. Oathbreaker can support it if the planeswalker is helming a tribal shell, but the 20-life total tightens the clock enough that the slow rollout is a real liability.

$0.59 bulk tier

At $0.59, Kindred Boon is bulk, and it should stay there — it's narrow enough that demand outside dedicated tribal Commander builds is minimal. For what it does in those builds, that's an easy include with no budget concern.
