Kindled Heroism

In Commander, Kindled Heroism is a narrow include: it belongs in decks that care about targeting their own creatures — Feather, the Redeemed being the obvious best home, where it loops back to hand every turn. Outside that niche, a single +1/+1 and a one-turn indestructibility window rarely justifies a slot against 99-card competition. In competitive 60-card formats like Modern and Pioneer, it doesn't clear the bar — Sejiri Shelter and Teferi's Protection do the same job with more upside, and combat tricks generally underperform in those metas. Pauper is the format where Kindled Heroism is most legitimately viable, slotting into heroic-aggro lists alongside cards like Akroan Crusader where every targeting trigger has compounding value. Legacy and Vintage ignore it entirely.
