Kibo, Uktabi Prince floods every player's board with Banana tokens that double as mana rocks and payoffs for artifact-matters strategies, which means the moment he resolves, everyone has fuel — including you, and you get to abuse it most. The real cost is that opponents get Bananas too, so he demands a deck built to punish that symmetry rather than merely benefit from it; Battered Golem and similar untap-on-artifact-enters creatures turn every Banana handed out into free activations, making Gimbal, Gremlin Prodigy shells the natural home.

Gimbal, Gremlin Prodigy
Gimbal, Gremlin Prodigy triggers on every artifact entering the battlefield, and Kibo, Uktabi Prince guarantees a steady stream of Banana tokens landing across all four boards each turn cycle — that's free Gremlins and counters at a rate most artifact decks can't replicate with any single other card.

Kibo, Uktabi Prince is a Commander card through and through — the Banana-distribution engine is designed for multiplayer tables where handing opponents resources is an acceptable tax in exchange for the volume of artifacts entering play. In Legacy and Vintage, where he's technically legal, a three-mana legendary with a slow, symmetrical payoff has no competitive application against the speed of those formats. Oathbreaker is the one other format worth noting: as a planeswalker-paired commander substitute he could back an artifact-combo package, but the Banana economy is less impactful at a smaller life total and with a single opponent. Commander, specifically at four-player pods, is the only context where Kibo, Uktabi Prince is doing exactly what he was built to do.

Current pricing data for Kibo, Uktabi Prince isn't resolved in this context, so check Scryfall or TCGPlayer for a live number. Given that he's a niche legendary with a dedicated but relatively small artifact-tribal following, he tends to sit in the budget-to-mid range — worth picking up if you're building the deck, not a card that demands urgent acquisition.
