Jeskai Devotee is a one-mana 1/2 that cycles itself for one mana and draws a card — the whole package costs two mana and leaves nothing on the board. Efficient cycling payoffs can justify that trade-off, but as a standalone it's pure card-neutral looting.

In Commander, Jeskai Devotee earns a slot only in dedicated cycling decks — builds helmed by commanders like Horde of Notions or Zur, Eternal Schemer that actively reward the cycling trigger. Elsewhere it's a two-mana cantrip that dilutes your boardstate, which is a bad deal at any table. In Pauper, cycling synergies are a real archetype and Jeskai Devotee can contribute, though it competes with higher-ceiling cyclers in the same cost bracket. In every other constructed format, the card doesn't clear the playability bar — there's no shell that needs this effect badly enough to run it.

Price Context
Current price
$0.06 bulk tier
At $0.06, Jeskai Devotee is deep bulk — you're buying it out of a common box, not tracking it on any market. That price reflects its narrow role accurately and isn't going anywhere.
