Invisibility makes an enchanted creature unblockable against all but blue and black creatures — a permanent, repeatable evasion grant for one blue mana at enchantment speed. It's a staple in Voltron Commander builds and nearly unplayable anywhere else.

In Commander, Invisibility earns its slot in one shell: Voltron, where stacking auras on a single commander makes every point of evasion worth exponentially more — unblockable attacks close games fast when the commander carries Swiftfoot Boots and a pile of damage doublers. Outside of that, it's a dead card in most lists. In Pauper it's technically playable, but common enchantment-based evasion pieces compete with cheaper and more flexible options. Legacy, Modern, Vintage, and Pioneer all have access to better tools, and no competitive list wants a narrow aura that does nothing when the creature dies.

Budget Alternatives
Cheaper options that do most of the same work
Invisibility costs $6.40, which is steep for what is functionally a one-trick aura — Shadow Rift and Aqueous Form do similar evasion work for pennies, though they either don't stick or lack the pure unblockability. If the goal is permanent evasion on a Voltron commander, Whispersilk Cloak gives shroud alongside unblockable and is an equipment rather than an aura, meaning it survives removal that targets the creature.
Price Context
Current price
$6.40 mid tier
At $6.40, Invisibility sits in the mid tier — expensive for a single-purpose aura with no competitive demand driving the price. The cost is hard to justify when permanent evasion alternatives exist at a fraction of the price, so it only earns its slot if you specifically want the aura type on a synergy commander like Zur the Enchanter.
