Into the Core exiles two artifacts — not one, not destroys — for four mana, which is the whole story. It's the right answer when a Mycosynth Lattice or an Argentum Armor needs to disappear permanently and you're in a color that can't shrug at regeneration or indestructibility.

In Commander, Into the Core fills a real gap for mono-red and red-heavy decks that need reliable artifact removal without access to white's Disenchant effects — exiling two targets at instant speed is meaningful when graveyard recursion is everywhere. In Legacy and Vintage the card is legal but never sees play; four mana is a lifetime in those formats and Smash to Smithereens or By Force do more relevant work at a fraction of the cost. Into the Core is essentially a Commander-only card in practice, and even there it competes with cheaper options like Chaos Warp or By Force when you need to hit multiple targets.

$0.15 bulk tier
At $0.15, Into the Core is pure bulk — buy a copy without thinking about it. Bulk artifact removal in red doesn't hold long-term value, so treat this as a throw-in for a slot, not a hold.
