Infectious Rage turns any creature into a repeatable ping machine — it pumps power and deals damage to target creature or player every time the enchanted creature mutates, which in the right shell happens constantly. The enchantment costs two mana and asks nothing else of you, which is the right price for what it contributes to a dedicated Mutate deck.

Infectious Rage is a Commander card almost exclusively — outside of dedicated Mutate builds it barely registers, and Mutate as a mechanic is too slow and synergy-dependent for Legacy or Vintage, where Infectious Rage is technically legal but irrelevant. In Commander, it slots into Mutate commanders like Otrimi, the Ever-Playful or Aeve, Progenitor Ooze where every stack triggers pile up fast, converting a single enchantment into cascading drain and pressure across the table. Oathbreaker is legal but the card has no meaningful home there.
