Idolized attaches an Aura to your commander that makes it a legend-generating machine — every time the enchanted creature deals combat damage to a player, you create a legendary token copy of it. The setup cost is minimal for what you get: a single enchantment that snowballs every combat step into more threats. In Dogmeat, Ever Loyal decks especially, this is a first-pick include.
Best Commanders
Commanders with the highest synergy

Dogmeat, Ever Loyal
Dogmeat, Ever Loyal is the natural home — Idolized lets every successful attack spawn another Dogmeat token, multiplying the Junk-scavenging triggers and overwhelming opponents with a pack of legendary hounds.

Preston Garvey, Minuteman
Preston Garvey, Minuteman wants to flood the board with legendary Settlers, and Idolized turns each swing into a recursive token factory that compounds his combat advantage exponentially.

Light-Paws, Emperor's Voice
Light-Paws, Emperor's Voice tutors Auras directly onto the battlefield, meaning Idolized can come down for free off any Aura cast — and each new Light-Paws token from Idolized triggers another Aura chain.

Pearl-Ear, Imperial Advisor
Pearl-Ear, Imperial Advisor generates value off legendary creatures entering the battlefield, so Idolized's token-producing attacks feed that engine on repeat every combat.

Rafiq of the Many
Rafiq of the Many turns one attacker into a one-hit threat, and Idolized means that single connection with a player produces a fresh legendary body to suit up and send in next turn.
Format Analysis
Where it lives, where it can’t
| Format | Verdict |
|---|---|
| commander | legal |
| legacy | legal |
| modern | not legal |
| pioneer | not legal |
| standard | not legal |
| vintage | legal |
| pauper | not legal |
| oathbreaker | legal |
Commander is where Idolized does its best work — the format's singleton rule means your commander is already the most reliable legendary creature on the board, and Idolized turns every hit into a compounding board state. Legacy and Vintage are legal but inhospitable: those formats move too fast for a three-mana Aura with no immediate board impact to survive long enough to generate value. Oathbreaker is a reasonable secondary home, since the Planeswalker-plus-signature-spell structure can protect the enchanted creature long enough to get attacks through. Outside those formats, Idolized is simply not legal.
