Heroes' Podium card art
Heroes' Podium pumps every legendary creature you control by +1/+1 for each other legendary you have out — in a legends-matter deck that number climbs fast and turns your whole board sideways. Five mana for a static anthem that scales with your creature count is a real rate, and the activated ability tacking on a legendary-only Impulse means it pulls ahead in long games.

Commanders with the highest synergy

01
Shanid, Sleepers' Scourge

Shanid, Sleepers' Scourge

62.1% of decks · synergy 0.60

Shanid, Sleepers' Scourge runs a critical mass of legendary creatures to trigger its menace-and-draw engine, so Heroes' Podium sits on top of that density as a scaling anthem that grows more threatening with every legend that hits the battlefield.

02
Kethis, the Hidden Hand

Kethis, the Hidden Hand

47.3% of decks · synergy 0.46

Kethis, the Hidden Hand wants as many legendary permanents in play as possible to discount recursive casts, and Heroes' Podium rewards that density with a board-wide pump that compounds as the legend count climbs.

04
Jodah, the Unifier

Jodah, the Unifier

43.4% of decks · synergy 0.40

Jodah, the Unifier cascades off legendary spells and floods the board with legends, so Heroes' Podium reliably becomes a massive anthem by the mid-game when Jodah's engine is running.

05
Dihada, Binder of Wills

Dihada, Binder of Wills

40.2% of decks · synergy 0.38

Dihada, Binder of Wills protects and recurs legendary permanents, keeping the legend count consistently high — exactly the condition under which Heroes' Podium becomes a win-accelerant rather than a mediocre equipment.

Heroes' Podium is a Commander card in practice; its effect is entirely parasitic on legendary density, which only a dedicated legends-matter Commander deck reliably provides. In Legacy, Modern, and Pioneer it's legal but essentially unplayed — five mana for a conditional anthem that does nothing the turn it enters has no competitive application in those formats. Oathbreaker gives it a narrow home in a planeswalker-plus-legends shell, but the card still needs a critical mass of legendary creatures to justify the mana. The activated ability, a one-time impulse draw filtered to legendaries, is useful only when you can reliably find what you're looking for, which means deeper legends-matter pools in Commander are where it actually pays off.
